Aurora VPN — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the Aurora VPN mobile application ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you use it. By using the App you agree to this policy.

1. No account, no sign-in

The App does not require you to create an account, and does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or any other directly identifying information.

2. What the VPN does with your traffic

The App establishes an encrypted VPN tunnel (WireGuard® protocol) using Android's VpnService. While connected, your device's internet traffic is routed through our servers so that your real IP address is hidden from the websites you visit.

We do not log, monitor, inspect, or sell the contents of your traffic or your browsing history.
We do not maintain a record that links your identity to the sites or services you access.
Servers process traffic only as needed to provide the VPN connection.

3. Information the App handles

Connection status & local network speed — shown on-screen (download/upload Mbps, session duration). This is read on your device and is not transmitted to us.
Public IP address — to display your current connection location, the App may query a public IP-lookup service. This IP is shown to you and is not stored by us.
Selected server & free-trial timer — stored locally on your device only (via Android shared preferences).

4. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The App shows ads via Google AdMob. Google may collect and process device identifiers (such as the Advertising ID), coarse usage data, and similar information to serve and measure ads. This processing is governed by Google's policies:

You can reset or limit your Advertising ID in your device settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads).

5. Purchases

Optional premium subscriptions are processed by Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store your payment card details; payment is handled entirely by Google Play. See the Google Privacy Policy.

6. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Information is shared only with the service providers needed to run the App: Google (AdMob advertising, Play Billing) and our VPN server hosting provider, each acting under their own privacy terms.

7. Children

The App is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

8. Security

Traffic is encrypted in transit using the WireGuard protocol. Local app data is not backed up to the cloud (Android auto-backup is disabled).

9. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
